Real World Research
The Tax Research Workshop offers tax professionals a chance to build great fundamentals in federal tax law research.
Stop relying on blog posts, Google, and AI to hopefully find the right answer to your tax questions. In this workshop, we will teach you how to read and understand tax authority that you can actually rely on instead of taking a shot in the dark.
Once we establish the fundamentals, we will walk you through how to use this newfound knowledge to both respond to IRS notices/audits and offer more advanced tax planning to your clients. In the second half of the day, you’ll be provided with research materials and a prompt to work on, and we will review the answers at the end of each session.
Topics Covered

Put Your New Skills to the Test
For the last part of the day, you’ll roll up your sleeves and apply what you’ve learned in a guided research exercise that will take you through the research process from beginning to end.
This isn’t Just Academic… This is REAL-LIFE RESEARCH
Build confidence in federal tax research by learning how to interpret authority you can actually rely on.
