Meet the instructors
Taught by the thought leaders of tax
Your instructors are not only preparing returns and representing clients; they’re staying on the cutting edge of new tax law. Every time they review new laws or a new piece of guidance, they aren’t just thinking about their clients, but all of your clients as well.
Ryan Reichert, EA, CFP®
Ryan is a tax research consultant for tax professionals across the US and principal of Brass Tax Presentations. He’s the editor of our materials and the member of our team who is constantly trying to push the law to bring value to our attendees. Ryan strives to take complex tax concepts and make them relatable for professionals at all stages of their career.
Shannon Hall, EA
In addition to running a thriving tax practice, Shannon Hall is a writer and educator for Brass Tax Presentations. She regularly travels throughout the country as a speaker for tax societies, as well as serving as President of the California Society of Tax Consultants. Shannon’s background in theatre arts, creative writing, and accounting give her a unique perspective that makes her presentations stand out. She’s also the funny one.
Thomas A. Gorczynski, EA, CTP, USTCP
Tom has been collaborating with the Brass Tax team since 2024. He is regarded as a major thought leader in the tax industry, with thousands of newsletter subscribers and a massive following for his continuing education seminars. Tom is also one of fewer than 400 nonattorneys admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court.
Jeffrey Thompson, MA, MBA, EA, USTCP
Jeffrey Thompson, MA, MBA, EA, USTCP, is a tax professional who is admitted to the United States Tax Court as a nonattorney as well as a writer, actor, and magician member of the Magic Castle. Jeffrey works almost exclusively with creative artists, helping with their tax preparation, bookkeeping, and tax controversy needs. Jeffrey is our newest team member, and we're sure you'll love the energy and knowledge he brings to the Enrolled Agent Bootcamp and upcoming webinars.

Finally, a tax seminar that doesn’t feel like drinking from a firehose! Brass Tax is impeccably organized, affordable, and actually delivered at a human pace.
Other updates leave my head spinning, but Brass Tax keeps it perfectly organized and easily digestible. It’s the only tax education where I actually absorb the info instead of fighting some serious brain-melt!
Absolutely amazing experience! They helped so so much!
Exceptional speakers! Genuine enthusiasm that makes a live seminar, “alive”!
It’s the only tax update where I leave feeling sharp instead of completely dazed. Brass Tax gives you the crucial stuff at a pace you can actually absorb, without the mid-seminar brain melt. Great pricing, too!
